ABOUT SAINT MARTIN'S
Greetings:
I am Patrick Kiley, Head of School at St. Martin's Lutheran School of Annapolis, and I welcome you to our new website. We are anxiously awaiting the start of the 2020-2021 school year where we will be open for five-day, in-person instruction. With our small class sizes and naturally-occurring social distancing, our school is set up in a manner that promotes a quality, private school education along with all pertinent safety precautions.
Founded in 1963, St. Martin’s Lutheran School educates students in grades pre-kindergarten 3 through the eighth grade. The school, located at the corner of Forest Drive and Spa Road in Annapolis, is home to just over 100 students. We accept applications for all grades on a rolling basis throughout the year, and financial aid is available for those who qualify.
St. Martin’s will be open in September for five-day, in-person instruction. All proper safety precautions will be in place. The opening plan has been approved by the Anne Arundel County Health Department.
We currently have openings for students in grades 4-7.
St. Martin's provides Christian education in a safe, secure and inclusive environment. In addition to the four core subjects, all students take art, music, physical education, religion, computers and Spanish. We offer small, intimate class sizes with a focus on small-group and one-on-one instruction. Most of our graduates gain admission to and attend private high schools in the Baltimore-Washington metro area.
Athletically, the school offers co-ed cross country, boys' soccer, boys' and girls' basketball, and girls' lacrosse for students in grades 5-8. St. Martin’s fields an award-winning robotics team and offers a Kindness Club that promotes St. Martin's through service projects in the community. New extra-curricular activities are always being added.
At St. Martin’s, we are a community of teachers, learners and believers. We teach our students, we learn from each other and we believe that each child has their own God-given talents. Students attend chapel each Wednesday to give thanks for what we have and pray for the world around us.
I invite you to take a tour of our campus, meet our teachers and see our students hard at work. It is there that you will experience the St. Martin’s mantra of: “Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow.”
Thank You.
Best,
