The St. Martin's Lutheran School PTO will support a program of spiritual, emotional, social, intellectual and physical growth for the students of St. Martin's Lutheran School by accomplishing goals identified by the Principal, the School Board or the Parents. FunctionThis organization functions through all parents of the student body working with teachers and school administrators, community and School Board by providing support as needed. MembershipAll parents and guardians, all teachers all admininstrators and all of the School Board are welcome. Participation OpportunitiesThere are 3-4 membership meetings per year on different days of the week and in the evening to enhance participation. Issues will be voted upon by those in attendance. All officers and all members are welcome. To enhance formalized input of students/teachers and parents, one teacher from the upper school and one teacher from the lower school will attend. In addition, one parent liaison from each grade will be encouraged to attend. That parent should come to the meeting with questions and concerns that they gathered prior to the meeting from the other parents in that grade. That parent will report back to the class and will meet regularly with the Principal and PTO President. One member of the School Board should be present to report on their activities and to field questions. |
