In 1992, the congregation of St. Martin's Church saw the need to extend its mission to meet the needs of middle school students. Seventh grade was added in 1993 and eighth grade in 1994. October 1997 was the opening of a third wing that included two new classrooms, a large media center, computer lab and a teachers' work room/lounge. The School's policies are supervised by the Church Council via the School Board. The School is administered by a full-time Principal with support from a full-time Admissions Director, two Administrative Assistants, and a part-time Business Manager. Faculty members include individual classroom teachers, two teacher assistants, art, music, computer, physical education, foreign language and resource teacher and a trained librarian. |

St. Martin's Lutheran Church School began in 1963 as a nursery school for four-year-olds. A kindergarten for five-year-olds was added. In keeping with St. Martin's desire to provide quality education within a Christian atmosphere, grade 1 was added in 1970, grades 2 and 3 were added in 1971, grade 4 in 1972 and grade 5 in 1973. In September 1974, with the addition of grade 6 and the opening of our new wing, St. Martin's was able to offer eight levels of preschool and elementary education.
