Music at St. Martin`s
The music ministry, a vibrant part of the worship and congregational life of St. Martin's, is led by Donna Dixon Ervin who runs multiple choirs, instrumental groups, concerts, pageants, and theatrical performances throughout the year together with many other talented musicians, theatrical directors and participants. It takes everyone's participation and enthusiasm to create the magic and beauty of music that warms and inspires our worship services. No matter what your musical background, there is a place for you; the music ministry needs and wants your participation.

Have you heard that one needs to have a musical background and an extraordinary voice to sing in a choir? It's a myth! A beautiful voice is a gift, and one that can be developed with time and practice. A choir is a place for those with developed musical talent, but it is also a place for beginners and newcomers to learn to sing and to develop their talent. The choir director is there to teach and to guide. Singing with the choir is a beautiful extension of worship, and a true gift of yourself to others. So, don't be shy, give it a try! If interested, call Donna Ervin at the church office, or stop by at one of the practice sessions. |
