Adult Forum is held every Sunday between the early and late services from 9:45 until 10:45 in the Fellowship Hall from September through the first of June. Adult Forum covers a wide variety of topics of general interest, including issues of Christian faith, history, theology, life, parenting, and Bible study. Guest lecturers are also invited. Adult Forum is informal, and all are welcome and encouraged to attend. The topics for Adult Forum are posted in advance in Tabletalk and are noted in the inserts for each Sunday Bulletin.

Adult Forum is a product of the Christian Education Committee, and more specifically, the Adult Education Subcommittee. If you are interested in helping with the Adult Forum programs (choosing topics, organizing programs and speakers, and/or leading discussion), please contact the Subcommittee Chair, at the church office. Your participation is appreciated and welcomed.

Bible Studies

St. Martin's offers various forms of Bible study.

Tuesday Evening (Weekly) Bible Study
On Tuesday evenings, an informal Bible study group meets from 7:00 until 8:30 in the church lounge. All are welcome and encouraged to participate. The topics of study are chosen by the group and the atmosphere is very warm and congenial.

Wednesday Evening - "Storytellers"
Storytellers meets every Wednesday evening at 6:00 for an informal soup and salad in Fellowship Room A, followed by a Bible study led by Pastor Habetler. The subject is the history and context of the scripture readings for the following Sunday. All are welcome, but if you need more information, contact Pastor Habetler through the church office.

Thursday (Lunch) Bible Study
A Bible study class is also held every first, third, and fourth Thursday at noon in the church lounge. The class is led by Pastor Habetler and the subject is the history and context of the scripture reading for the following Sunday. All are welcome. Bring a bag lunch.

Saturday Morning Men's Fellowship Breakfasts
In 2005, the men of St. Martin's organized the Men's Prayer Breakfast which meets at 8:30 a.m. on several Saturday mornings during the year for fellowship and study.

Women of the ELCA
A women's Bible study group meets once a month to study stories and issues raised in Lutheran Women Today, a magazine subscription available from the church office. Your participation in any of these groups is welcome and encouraged.

Hope Circle meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. and the third Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. in the church lounge

Notices of all meetings are usually posted in the Sunday Bulletin or in the monthly Tabletalk. All are welcome. For more information about Women of the ELCA call the leaders listed on page 24 or call the church office.

Women's Prayer Breakfast: In 2006, the women initiated a Womens Prayer Breakfast which will meet quarterly throughout the year at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning for fellowship and study.     

A woman's book club has also recently begun meeting to discuss selected readings. Check the calendars for times and dates.
