St. Martin's provides Christian education for adults, youth, and children in several different formats and times.



Adult Forum PDF Print E-mail

Adult Forum is held every Sunday between the early and late services from 9:45 until 10:45 in the Fellowship Hall from September through the first of June. Adult Forum covers a wide variety of topics of general interest, including issues of Christian faith, history, theology, life, parenting, and Bible study. Guest lecturers are also invited. Adult Forum is informal, and all are welcome and encouraged to attend. The topics for Adult Forum are posted in advance in Tabletalk and are noted in the inserts for each Sunday Bulletin.

Confirmation Class (Grades 6,7, and 8)

Beginning in Grade 6, St. Martin's offers three years of formal training for Confirmation.  The Confirmation classes meet every Sunday from 9:45 to 10:45. The program includes studying the Bible, The Small Catechism, Martin Luther, and Lutheran tradition.  In addition, the class meets one Sunday morning a month for Music and a Message Program, complete with live music, dramas, small group ministries, service projects, and snack. An annual weekend retreat is part of the program. For more information about Confirmation Class, contact the church office. Upon completion of the program, students receive the Rite of Confirmation in a Sunday morning worship service.

Children's Sunday School (ages two through Grade 6).

St. Martin's offers Sunday School for children from age 2 through grade 6 between services from 9:45 until 10:45. The curriculum is from Lutheran publishing houses and is Bible-based. For more information about the Sunday School program, contact Norm Whitman, Coordinator of Sunday School and Adult Education at the church office. The Sunday School program always needs teachers and helpers. If you are interested in volunteering as a teacher or an aide, please contact Norm Whitman or the church office.
